Plain-English summary: TickerWhy sends you plain-language email briefings about stocks you already own — pre-market outlook, event reminders, and price-move explanations. We are not a broker, not an investment adviser, and we never tell you what to buy or sell. You can cancel anytime, and if our 4-week attribution accuracy falls below 60%, your current month is free.
TickerWhy ("we", "us", "the Service") is a paid email information service that delivers plain-English briefings about publicly traded companies you designate as part of your watchlist. The Service produces three types of content:
TickerWhy is a publisher of general-interest information, not a financial adviser. We operate under the publisher's exclusion from investment-adviser registration. We do not: (a) provide personalized investment advice; (b) manage assets; (c) execute trades; (d) recommend that you buy, sell, or hold any security; or (e) tailor content to your personal financial situation. Nothing we send is a solicitation or offer to transact in any security.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to receive this type of financial information in your jurisdiction. The Service is intended for self-directed retail investors who make their own decisions. If you are a professional investor, regulated entity, or subject to jurisdiction-specific restrictions on receiving third-party market commentary, you may not use the Service.
To receive paid briefings you must (a) provide a valid email address and (b) complete a paid subscription through our payment processor (Creem). A free tier may be offered from time to time with limited content; free users are not entitled to the Accuracy Promise in Section 5.
The standard plan is $9.90 per month, billed in USD. Promotional pricing (e.g., a $0.99 first month) applies only to the first billing cycle and reverts to the standard rate thereafter.
Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. We will send a renewal reminder email at least 7 days before each renewal charge, containing a direct cancellation link. You will not be charged for a renewal you cancelled before the renewal date.
You may cancel at any time from the link in any Service email or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; we do not issue partial refunds for the remainder of a paid month except where required by law or as provided in Section 5.
Where applicable, VAT/GST or other sales taxes are calculated and collected by our payment processor at checkout based on your billing location.
We measure the quality of our "WhyDown / WhyUp" attributions by retrospectively comparing each published attribution against consensus media reporting (Bloomberg, Reuters, and major financial outlets) in the following trading week.
This promise is a voluntary service guarantee, not a warranty of correctness. Attribution of market moves is inherently probabilistic; "no identifiable catalyst" is a valid and explicitly permitted output. Accuracy will be computed transparently on a public scoreboard once the Service begins publishing briefings.
You agree not to: (a) resell, redistribute, or publicly repost Service content as your own; (b) use the Service to make automated trading decisions without human review; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer or overload our systems; or (d) use the Service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access for abuse without refund where the breach is material.
All content is for informational purposes only and is not investment, legal, or tax advice. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or usefulness of any briefing. Past performance, cited patterns, and historical moves do not predict future results. Markets are risky; you can lose money. You alone are responsible for every investment decision and should consult a licensed professional before acting. Reliance on any Service content is at your own risk.
Content is generated using automated data aggregation and language models, then quality-controlled by automated checks. Despite controls, errors, delays, or omissions may occur. We disclaim liability for any such inaccuracy to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TickerWhy and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Aggregate liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.
All Service content, branding, and software are the property of TickerWhy or its licensors and are protected by law. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to read Service emails for your own use. The "TickerWhy" name, logo, and "?" mark are trademarks of the operator.
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms or for legal/regulatory reasons, with or without notice where urgent. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; Sections 7–9 survive.
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
