TL;DR: We collect only your email address and your watchlist to send you the briefings you asked for. We never sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with our email sender (beehiiv) and payment processor (Creem). Market data providers (SEC, Finnhub, FMP, Twelve Data) never receive your personal information — they only power the content.
TickerWhy is an individual-operated information service ("we", "us"). The data controller for the personal data described here is the operator of TickerWhy, reachable at tickerwhy@gmail.com. This Policy applies to users worldwide, including those in the EU/EEA (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA).

We do not collect: your brokerage account, portfolio value, government IDs (except as required by our payment processor for fraud prevention), payment-card numbers (handled by Creem), or precise geolocation.
Most personal data is provided directly by you. Market and company data used to generate content comes from public and licensed sources — U.S. SEC EDGAR, Finnhub, Financial Modeling Prep (FMP), and Twelve Data — which receive only ticker symbols and dates, never your email or identity.

We do not sell personal data. We disclose data only to processors above, to comply with law, or in a corporate transaction (with notice). All processors are bound by contractual confidentiality.
Our website uses only essential functionality (no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies). Our emails may contain open/click tracking pixels operated by beehiiv to measure engagement; you can disable this by disabling images in your email client. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to: access, correct, export, or delete your personal data; opt out of sale/sharing (we do neither); and object to or restrict processing. To exercise any right, email tickerwhy@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days. EU users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. California residents may request disclosure of categories collected (already listed above) free of charge twice yearly.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures — encrypted storage, access controls, and least-privilege key management — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but work to protect your information proportionate to its sensitivity.
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
